About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Integration Engineer with deep expertise in Revenue Cycle Management technologies, EDI/API integrations, and US healthcare interoperability standards. The ideal candidate will have hands on experience integrating with clearinghouses, practice management systems, and HL7-based systems, as well as familiarity with web scraping using Puppeteer.js.

You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining integrations between healthcare systems and our in-house data engine, ensuring data integrity, compliance, and efficiency across our products and client platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain integrations between platforms, clearinghouses, PM systems, and other healthcare applications.
• Implement and support EDI transactions (837, 835, 270/271, 276/277) and ensure compliance with HIPAA standards.
• Build and manage API integrations with 3rd party vendors, EMRs, and data platforms.
• Work with HL7 interfaces for real-time and batch data exchange.
• Develop automation and data extraction workflows using Puppeteer.js or similar headless browser frameworks.
• Collaborate closely with Data Science, technology and automation teams to deploy and monitor integrations on GCP PaaS environments.
• Troubleshoot and optimize integrations for performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Maintain technical documentation and support internal teams with integration insights.

Required Qualifications

• 4 – 5 years of experience in integration engineering with focus on US Healthcare / RCM domain.
• Proven experience with EDI X12 transactions, clearinghouse integrations, and healthcare data workflows.
• Strong understanding of HL7 and healthcare interoperability standards.
• Experience working with APIs (REST, SOAP) and integration frameworks.
• Proficiency in Node.js / Puppeteer.js for automation and web scraping.
• Solid understanding of NoSQL databases and data transformation pipelines.
• Excellent problem solving and debugging skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with PHP (Laravel) applications.
• Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services, particularly App Engine, Cloud Functions, and Pub/Sub.
• Experience integrating Practice Management Systems, EMRs, or Billing systems.
• Working knowledge of HIPAA compliance and healthcare data security standards.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership

• • Provide architectural and design guidance across software development and AI/ML projects.
  • Serve as the senior technical voice in India, working closely with the CTO on roadmap, priorities, and technical strategy.
  • Guide the integration of AI/ML components into production systems.
  • Work with outside agencies/vendors with projects and integrations.

Team Leadership & Mentorship

• • Lead, mentor, and grow a cross-functional team of software engineers and data scientists.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance team culture, with strong ownership and accountability.
  • Act as the problem solver, supporting team members on both technical and execution challenges.

Hands-on Engineering

• • Contribute directly to codebases (likely ~30 – 50% IC work), focusing on complex problems, design-heavy components, and critical integrations.
  • Review code, models, and architectures to ensure best practices across software and ML domains.

Execution & Delivery

• • Ensure the team meets deadlines, delivers quality software, and proactively manages risks.
  • Work with the CTO to balance immediate delivery needs with long-term technical health.
  • Own technical communication between Chennai and US teams.

Qualifications

Experience

• • • 10 -12 years of hands-on software development experience, including leading teams.
    • Demonstrated experience managing or closely collaborating with AI/ML engineers or data science teams.
    • Prior experience as a lead engineer or staff engineer, or director-level engineer in a scaling organization.
    • Experience working with US based leadership or in distributed teams.
    • Experience working in US based healthcare companies and RCM companies.

Technical Skills

• • • Strong backend engineering (e.g., PHP Laravel, Vue.js, Node.js, Python) and cloud architecture (GCP).
    • Experience with AI/ML pipelines, model integration, or collaborating with data scientists.
    • Good grasp of CI/CD, DevOps, and system performance optimization.
    • Solid grounding in software engineering fundamentals (scalability, security, maintainability).

Leadership Skills

• • • Excellent communication, especially in remote/global contexts.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop automation scripts using Node.js and Puppeteer for tasks such

  • Website data extraction (scraping)
  • Form submissions
  • File uploads/downloads
  • Portal navigation and workflow automation
• Integrate automation flows with APIs, databases, or external systems.
• Build scalable automation architectures (multi-threaded / queue-based).
• Handle CAPTCHA, dynamic content, and complex page interactions using Puppeteer
  APIs.
• Implement proper error handling, logging, and retry mechanisms for reliable
  automation.
• Maintain code reusability and ensure adherence to performance and security best
  practices.
• Collaborate with analysts and product teams to identify and prioritize automation
  opportunities.
• Optimize scripts for efficiency and minimal resource consumption.
• Deploy and monitor bots using containerized or cloud environments (Docker, Cloud
  Run, etc.).
• Document automation logic, workflows, and technical details.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent
  experience.
• 2+ years of experience in Node.js development.
• 1+ year of hands-on experience with Puppeteer or similar headless browser tools
  (Playwright, Selenium).
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript / TypeScript and asynchronous programming.
• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and DOM manipulation.
• Familiarity with browser DevTools protocols, cookies, sessions, and authentication
  handling.
• Experience with web scraping and data parsing (JSON, CSV, Excel, PDF).
• Understanding of RESTful APIs, HTTP methods, and proxy rotation.
• Experience with logging, queuing, and scheduling tools (e.g., BullMQ, Agenda, or
  cron jobs).
• Version control experience using Git & BitBucket.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Puppeteer/Playwright.
• Familiarity with headless Chrome debugging and performance tuning.
• Understanding of Docker, Cloud Run deployment.
• Working knowledge of MongoDB, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
• Experience automating secure login portals, 2FA, or captcha-handling flows.
• Understanding of data privacy laws (GDPR, CCPA) and ethical scraping practices.
